Born out of the tiny kitchen of Woodie’s Flat…
Once upon a fryer, in a three-story bar with zero chill and too many TVs, something magical happened. We served a wing. Then another. Then hundreds more, until our Old Town flagship, Woodie’s Flat, was officially declared an emotional support wing dispensary. We got pretty good at it. People started saying things like “these are the best wings I’ve ever had,” and “I would trade my family for another order.” Naturally, we took that as a sign.
Enter us, Woodie’s Wings, our fast, weird, wonderful quick-service joint, which officially opened in Oswego, Illinois in September 2025. We’re taking our award-winning wings and giving them a home of their own—no bar, no booths, no distractions. Just wings, sauce, beef fat fries, shakes, and salad (because someone in your group is always pretending to be healthy). It’s pickup-and-delivery only, which is fancy restaurant code for “you better not try to eat here, because there are no chairs.” Like we’ve been telling everyone, Woodie’s Wings is all about award-winning wings, and award-losing ambiance.
We built this for families, wing freaks, people on-the-go, and anyone who ever thought “my dinner could use more sauce options.” Post-game dinners. Wings for the big game. Midweek kitchen meltdowns. Random Tuesdays where the only plan is a pound of wings and ignoring everyone. That’s the sweet spot. Woodie’s Wings was built for moments like those—messy, delicious, and aggressively sauced.

Other places? They’re slinging jumbo, chewy, fat bombs they thawed, baked, or fried into mediocrity. Us? We’ve spent years perfecting The Woodie’s Way. We start with the perfect-sized wing—juicy, meaty, and ready for greatness—then, air dry, season, and slow-smoke it for three hours until the flavor’s living rent-free in every bite, and that top-secret seasoning we’re adding, that’s what keeps the skin crispy and not chewy like other wing joints that we won’t mention.
The next day, we wake them up with a crisp fry, sauce ‘em, fry ‘em again (because once just isn’t enough), and serve you the juiciest, crispiest, most flavorful wings in the history of the galaxy.
